The Premier Hockey Federation began expanding Montreal's strength as the seventh team.

The Premier Hockey Federation on Tuesday launched Montreal Force as its latest expansion franchise.

Inaugurated the seventh PHF team, the Women's Hockey League also shared the logo and jersey ahead of the 2022–23 Troops' inaugural campaign.

 Montreal colors are maroon, white and black, with the main logo from Fleur-de-lis Quebec to de-lis Flour.

"We want a strong name to differentiate ourselves in this extraordinary hockey market and represent who we are in the women's sports landscape," Force President Kevin Raphael said in a statement.

To celebrate their first PHF season, Force will play home games throughout Quebec.

Seven different communities are being targeted for pre-season and regular season action, with Montreal, Gatineau, Quebec, Rimosque, Ravier-du Loup, Saint-Jerome and Sep-Moy.

There are currently 16 players under contract for the coming season.

Commissioner PHF Reagan Carey said in a statement, "The Montreal franchise's work ethic and winning mindset in preparation for the 2022–23 season for official approval confirmed this.

Montreal is incorporated into the Toronto Six as one of two PHF clubs based in Canada. Five other teams are in the US

PHF will reveal its schedule for 2022-23 in early September.
